BodyMed Iontophoresis Small Electrode is a non-invasive method of delivering drugs into the body. With a low-level electrical current, the iontophoresis electrode delivers drug ions through the skin and into underlying tissue. Electrotherapy electrode use is virtually painless and is used by patients reluctant or unable to receive injections. It reduces risk of infection and minimizes potential for tissue trauma from an injection. Each kit contains 1 active drug-delivery electrode, 1 buffered return electrode and 2 alcohol swabs.
