Here’s a few suggestions: Hot & simple - just add hot water so you can eat TeeChia quickly, even out of a coffee cup, and if you have it, add a splash of milk or non-dairy milk too. ½ cup hot water to ½ cup TeeChia is ready to eat in seconds. Cold & milky - make TeeChia like you would regular cereal by adding milk or the non-dairy milk of your choice. Creamy - take yogurt or kefir and stir in TeeChia. Or you can add yogurt or kefir to hot & simple TeeChia. Crunchy - add either chopped nuts or whichever crunchy cereal flakes or granola you love. Mix them with either hot or cold TeeChia. Smoothie - TeeChia makes a great addition to thicken and add nutrients to your favorite smoothie recipe. Eggie - for a high protein hit, add a soft boiled or poached egg to your bowl of hot TeeChia.
1) Put 1/3 cup TeeChia in a bowl.
2) Add 1/2 cup hot water or 1/3 cup cold water.
3) Stir and let soak until water is absorbed (less than 1 minute).
4) Add milk, yogurt, or your favorite dairy alternative.
TeeChia is naturally sweet from dates and dried fruit. Its carbohydrates are bound in fiber for a slow release of natural sugars that won't destabilize your blood sugar. If extra sweetness is desired, add fresh berries, apples or bananas!
